Fix Hinge 'Network Error' & Login Loops
Updated: 12/1/2025
You try to check your matches, but Hinge stays stuck on the white logo screen. Or worse, you try to log in and get a generic 'Network Error. Please try again.' even though your WiFi is perfect. This is often a 'soft block' triggered by Hinge's location services getting confused, or a corrupted cache file from a recent app update.

Method 1: The Location Toggle Trick
Hinge requires precise GPS data to verify you aren't a bot. If the location handshake fails, the app refuses to connect.
Step 1: Deny Location
Go to Settings > Apps > Hinge > Permissions. Set Location to 'Don't Allow'.
Step 2: Relaunch
Open Hinge. It will beg for location access. Grant it 'While Using the App' again. This forces a fresh GPS ping, which often clears the Network Error.
Method 2: Offload the App (iOS)
On iPhone, Hinge's 'Documents & Data' storage often balloons in size, causing crashes.
- Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Hinge.
- Tap Offload App (Not Delete).
- Tap Reinstall App.
This clears the cache without deleting your profile or matches.
Method 3: Check for Shadowban
If you can log in but see 0 matches and messages won't send, you might be shadowbanned.
