Fix Rocket League Error 67 (Connection Timed Out)
Updated: 11/29/2025
You queue for a Ranked match, the countdown finishes, and then: 'Connection to server timed out. (Error: 67)'. You are thrown back to the main menu, banned from matchmaking for 5 minutes. This error is specifically a 'Packet Loss' issue. Your computer sent data to the PsyNet servers, but the servers didn't receive it in time.

Method 1: Change Input Buffer Settings
Rocket League has a built-in setting to handle unstable internet.
Step 1: Open Settings
Go to Settings > Gameplay.
Step 2: Input Buffer
Find the Input Buffer setting. Change it from 'Default' to STS (Steering Time Stamp) or CSTS. This forces the game to use a different method for syncing your car's position, which often bypasses Error 67.
Method 2: Check Server Region
If you have 'Recommended' selected, the game might be trying to put you in a server across the ocean.
Click Play > Competitive. Look at the top right corner for Regions. Uncheck 'Recommended' and manually select only the region closest to you (e.g., US-East or Europe).
Method 3: Clear Cache (Console & PC)
PC (Epic/Steam): Go to Documents\My Games\Rocket League\TAGame\Cache and delete everything inside.
Consoles: Turn off the console, unplug it for 1 minute, and restart. This clears the temporary network cache that might be holding bad route data.
