Fix Valorant Error VAN 1067 (Windows 11 TPM 2.0)
Updated: 11/29/2025
You upgraded to Windows 11, tried to launch Valorant, and got hit with a critical error: 'Connection Error. VALORANT has encountered a connection error. Error Code: VAN 1067'. This is not a server issue. It is a security enforcement by Riot Games. On Windows 11, Riot's anti-cheat (Vanguard) requires your PC to have TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled in the BIOS, or it refuses to run.
Table of Contents
Method 1: Enable Secure Boot (BIOS)
This is the most common cause. You must enter your motherboard's BIOS menu.
Step 1: Enter BIOS
Restart your PC. Spam F2, F12, or Del (depending on your PC brand) before the Windows logo appears.
Step 2: Boot Settings
Look for a tab named Boot or Security. Find 'Secure Boot'. Change it from 'Disabled' to 'Enabled'. You might need to change 'OS Type' to 'Windows UEFI Mode' first.
Method 2: Enable TPM 2.0
Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is a security chip setting.
- Intel CPUs: Look for 'Intel PTT' (Platform Trust Technology) and enable it.
- AMD CPUs: Look for 'AMD fTPM' and enable it.
Save changes (F10) and exit. Valorant should now launch.
Method 3: Disable 'VBS' (Virtualization-Based Security)
If you enabled Secure Boot but still get the error, Windows Security might be conflicting with Vanguard.
Step 1: Core Isolation
Press the Windows Key, type 'Core Isolation', and hit Enter.
Step 2: Memory Integrity
Toggle OFF 'Memory Integrity'. Restart your PC. This relaxes the virtualization layer that blocks the anti-cheat driver.
